The total heat transfer coefficient of smooth tube is increased by 2 - 3 times than that of ordinary smooth tube.
Because of the high heat transfer coefficient and large heat transfer surface of the condenser, the number of tubes used is reduced, the volume of the condenser is reduced, the copper consumption and manufacturing cost are reduced, and the energy consumption is reduced in operation.
